Burn-E short online

Wall-E is the most successful animated film of the year. Pixar even considered submitting the film for consideration as Best Motion Picture to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Animated films have their own category and thereby seem exempt from being considered to compete with the big boys. Which is a shame given the quality of animated films in recent years. Not just the quality of animation, but their quality of characterization and storytelling.

Undoubtedly one of the most awaited films to be released on DVD and Blue-ray Pixar has pulled out one more stop to market the release even further. Ever heard of Burn-E? A distant relative of big screen star Wall-E, Burn-E is a little welder robot aboard the Axiom starship from the feature film. You might remember him being locked out by Wall-E and Eve as they return to the Axiom. Helplessly banging at the closed door we are taken on his journey to find a way back inside. The film begins as Wall-E hurtles towards the Axiom…

Pixar has done it again. This little short is totally on par with their best ones including their theatrical releases. Definitely one more reason to get the DVD or Blue-ray discs.
