New Ice Age 3 Poster/Teaser Trailer

The new poster for Ice Age 3 hit the net. I am a big fan of the franchise or should I call it a trilogy? Everything is a trilogy now. That’s how you can tell the hip, cool and successful stuff from the rest. I’m just kidding. Or am I?

There is even a teaser trailer out for the third installment already. Somehow I didn’t know about this or I might have watched it already but just don’t remember. Too many good films that I want to see.

So Scrat and Co. are back. The friends from the second film, Ice Age – The Meltdown, are apparently too (that’s not why they called it Ice Age Too I’m sure) and plenty of new friends, and foes, will be introduced. Now for the first time we will get to see dinosaurs. Well it is called Ice Age – Dawn of the Dinosaurs. Slight hint in there already.

Scrat is still on the hunt for nuts and it wouldn’t be an Ice Age film if he wasn’t. That cute, funny, furry little creature made the initial film a big hit. No one knew the film wouldn’t be about that little rodent when the first teaser trailer hit back in 2001. I remember how disappointed I was at the almost negligible screen time this awesome character had in the first film. The studio and animators listened to the fans and Scrat was featured more prominently in the second film in the series. So I am hoping for even more nut-chasing hilarity in the third installment. He is the center of the latest poster after all…

And isn’t that a little Scrat-ette on the lower right in that poster?

Check out the teaser trailer for the film, hitting theaters everywhere July 4, 2009.
