Customer stampede kills worker! Several injured.

What would need to happen so you’d stop shopping for xmas presents?

People elbowing you left, right and center turning the shopping mall into a warzone?

A bomb threat?

A fire breaking out in the store?

Nope? Nothing?

How about a man getting trampled to death by customers! Would that stop you? It would stop me dead in my tracks, staring at the scene in disbelieving horror and shock. When people were told they had to leave the store they yelled “I’ve been on line since yesterday morning” and continued shopping.

What is wrong with people?

I can’t even seem to find words to express what I felt when I read that. Xmas shopping has always been crazy. But deadly crazy? What has happened to us when we consider shopping and hunting for the best bargain to be more important than someone’s life? A guy like you and me, just doing his job. A temp worker for the holidays, who probably needed the money just to get by like we all do. And he gets trampled to death by his own countrymen.

I am sure it is next to impossible to identify certain customers and charge them with murder. Because this incident is nothing but. Had the reported pregnant woman, that also needed to be taken to a hospital to be checked out, lost her baby it would have been murder as well.

What has happened to us when we no longer have any regard for our fellow being? The weirdest question popped into my head. What if the man had been a cute little puppy. Would anyone have stopped for that?

A man got killed for another one to make a bargain. That’s what our world has come to. Black Friday, a black Friday indeed.
