Identity

Another one of my retro-reviews. I wrote this back in 2004.

This film takes you into the psyche of a serialkiller. You’ll meet ten different people and one of them is a killer. But who is it?

That’s the question throughout the film. Through little details we get to know more and more of what’s really going on. And I mean REALLY. Don’t let yourself be fooled!

Where are we? What are we doing here?

Aside from asking and, in the end, answering these questions this film is a great thrill and amazing entertainment. You’ll get shocked, thrilled and I guarantee you, if you have a weird sense of humor like me you’ll even laugh out loud. Not because it’s bad, but because it’s plain out hilarious! All the characters have their little problems and past, that might come back to haunt them. You just shouldn’t keep secrets, it might backfire!

You never know who to trust. What are the different characters up to? Speaking of the characters, the acting is superb in this film. The setting reminds me of Hitchcock’s Psycho. The story seems like a nice steal from an amazing X-Files episode. You just know all kinds of weird things can happen at any time. And then the weirdest thing happens when you least expect it!

This is one of the best entertainment films this year! It makes you think, laugh, jump out of your seat and just smirk at certain scenes. The scriptwriter definitely has a weird sense of humor.

Great entertainment that also works after multiple viewings! Highly recommendable!
