Watchmen Review Plus Four New Clips!

Matt Selman made quite the news yesterday. If you’re wondering who that is, he is executive producer of The Simpsons, you haven’t heard of this, by now, infamous man and more importantly of his blog post he published over at Time Magazine after having seen Watchmen.

What is all the fuzz about? Matt Selman was, like many others, privy to an early screening of Watchmen, one of the most highly anticipated films of the year. There is so much buzz about this film already that it’s not surprise the studio putting out a press blackout on reviewing Watchmen until it hits theaters on March 6. But infamous Selman couldn’t hold his horses and had to blog about it, justifying the press blackout not applying to him since “…[he’s] not press.”

At least he had the decency to not write a proper review, but only about “…the emotional experience of seeing a piece of literature with which I have an intense personal connection…”. He is officially breaking the embargo the studio put out and it is interesting to note that he did so on a Time Magazine sanctioned blog. Next time the studios give the online community flack for breaking embargos and leaking information we can all point to this incident and literally point fingers at Time Magazine and remind everyone THEY DID IT!

All this just to be the first and get some extra hits. Way to go Matt Selman. Gushing over the film doesn’t make up for violating the blackout. You can read his entire blog post here.

Also make sure to check out four new clips below the cut!
