Bloody Fangs Coming Back This Sunday

This Sunday the long wait is finally over and us fan(g)atics are being welcomed back to the dark depths that is Bon Temps. And we are pushed right back into the “thrilling, gory, scary, sexy, disgusting, funny [and] suspenseful” world we have come to love. According to Ausiello we can expect the following from the season opener:

“- There are three orgies, all of them powered by Maryann’s (Michelle Forbes) aphrodisiac fairy dust.
– Alexander Skarsgard’s Nordic vamp has an extremely homoerotic encounter with a character who shall remain nameless.
– Sookie has a very revealing conversation with a new character in episode 4.
– If you’re wondering what secret Merlotte’s newest waitress (played by Ashley Jones) is harboring, a clue can be found on her skin.”

But the best thing lies in yet more casting news. How do you top Michelle Forbes as a regular character? You get Evan Rachel Wood as a 400-year-old Vampire Queen. Here is what the young actress revealed to Moviehole at the Young Hollywood Awards recently:

“Oh! I love being able to talk about that now. I’ve had to be so secretive about it. She’s 400-years-old. Her name’s Sophie-Anne, and she’s the Vampire Queen of Louisiana. There’s a queen for every state, and that’s hers. And she’s kind of a cross between Patrick Bateman and Paris Hilton. She’s crazy. She’s just crazy. And she’s a lesbian.”

Michelle Forbes, Evan Rachel Wood plus Deborah Ann Woll as the recently Bill-made vamp Jessica (remember the crazy, formerly church-fanatic girl Bill turned in the last few episodes in season one?!) What more reason would anyone need to tune in?

In case you need more incentive how about the titles for the first three episodes. They already sound  bloody fangtastic. The show’s 12-episode second season kicks off June 14 with “Nothing But the Blood”, followed by “Keep This Party Going” on the 21 and “Scratches” on the 28.

Get ready for blood. True Blood.
